The arrangement
Camelback Dryout publishes information about water damage in central Phoenix and the East Valley and operates two tracked phone lines. Calls to those lines are routed through a call-distribution network to independent restoration contractors who have agreed to take work in the caller's ZIP code. The site may receive a fee when a routed call meets that network's conditions, for example a call of a minimum length about a covered service in a covered ZIP code. The caller pays nothing to the site. Any price for the work is set between the caller and the contractor.
What that means for you
The site does not employ the contractors, does not inspect their work and does not stand behind their estimates. It does not hold or recommend any license, insurance or certification on their behalf. Before you sign anything, ask the contractor for its Arizona Registrar of Contractors license number, proof of insurance and a written scope, and compare more than one quote if time allows.
Nothing on these pages is legal, insurance or medical advice. The pages describe buildings, water and the restoration process; questions about health belong to a doctor, and questions about a policy belong to the insurer or a licensed professional.
What the fee does not buy
No contractor pays to be described on a page here, and none can buy a mention, a ranking or a recommendation. The local material on each page, from water utilities and permit offices to storm dates and the age of the housing, is drawn from public sources such as government records, weather service reports and news coverage, and the sources are listed on the page. If a fact on a page is wrong, the correction goes in whether or not it affects a referral.
